Priceless Memorabilia Given to Foothills Lions Club Member Tim Beer

Out of the blue one morning, Lion Tim Beer received a phone call from a Mike Lebrun, who lives in Okotoks.

Mike had googled "pins" and "Lions" which led him to Lion Tim, who is a Lions International Trading Pin Club (LITPC) member.

The story, as told to Tim, follows.

Mike's Dad, Marcel Lebrun (1936-2017) was in the RCAF from 1953 to 1975, when he retired and moved to Gagnon, in the Cotes-Nord area of Quebec.

He became the President of the Gagnon Lions club in 1975, a position he held until the dissolution of Gagnon in 1985.

The history of Gagnon can be read here:,_Quebec

Mike wanted his father's Lions vest and pins to stay with the Lions and when he had tracked down Lion Tim, he asked to meet with him in Okotoks. During the visit, Lion Tim was given the vest and pins by Mike, who is now retired.

The photographs below show various angles of the vest and pins and also a photograph of a copy of a photograph of Lion Marcel Lebrun with other Lions members and their wives.

Thank you, Mike Lebrun for thinking so preciously of your father's vest.
