On a Mission To Serve

Foothills Lions Club and Foothills Energy Co-op Partner to Light Up Diamond Valley

Diamond Valley, AB – The Foothills Lions Club is proud to announce a new partnership with Foothills Energy Co-op to present two of Diamond Valley’s most anticipated community celebrations: Light-Up Diamond Valley on Saturday, December 6, 2025, and the Diamond Valley New Year’s Eve Celebration on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

Following the Town of Diamond Valley’s decision to pass the torch from municipal hosting to community-led coordination, the Foothills Lions Club eagerly stepped forward to take on these signature holiday events. Their long-standing commitment to community service and collaboration made them a natural fit to carry forward these beloved local traditions.

“We’re thrilled to lead these events on behalf of the community,” said Barry Crane, President of the Foothills Lions Club. “These celebrations are about more than lights and fireworks. They’re about connection, pride, and the joy of bringing people together. The incredible drive from local businesses to support and sponsor these events shows how much this community believes in the vision.”

Foothills Energy Co-op has joined as the official community partner for both events, aligning their commitment to sustainability and local investment with the Lions’ focus on service and togetherness.

“Foothills Energy Co-op is proud to support these cornerstone community events,” said Michael Kingston, Chairman of the Foothills Energy Co-op board. “Our goal has always been to keep energy and its benefits local. Partnering with the Lions Club allows us to give back directly to the communities we serve and celebrate what makes Diamond Valley such a special place to call home.”

Light-Up Diamond Valley will feature an all-day celebration across both sides of town, with festive shopping, family activities, and an evening light-up. The Diamond Valley New Year’s Eve Celebration, hosted at the Flare ’n Derrick Community Hall, will close out the year with live entertainment, community fun, and fireworks.

A second media release with full event details will be issued closer to the event dates.
