On Thursday, June 20th 2013, the Sheep River in Black Diamond breached  its banks and swept our campground away.

Evacuation, led by President James Lee was swift, early in the morning and many campers, trailers and motorhomes were saved. Unfortunately owners of several units could not be reached and other owners could not get here in time to move their units. Some units eventually floated down the river. The entire campground has to be rebuilt. This campground and the Turner Valley campground are the major revenue producing component of the Lions Club and many programs and organizations in our area will suffer in the coming year from this loss of funds.
