What a Busy Day for our Lions Club Today

We were in the Diamond Valley Parade, we had our Annual BBQ at Turner Valley’s Discovery Day and we held our Duck Derby event.

In the morning at the Parade, Lion Doug and his trusty tractor pulled our float which had live music on it and was accompanied by our newly formed Leos.  This was followed by the ALERT trailer and the Oilfields High School Rugby Teams, who come to help us on many occasions.

Over in Turner Valley, starting at 11:00 am, we opened our BBQ and served WAY too many burgers and hot dogs – what a success!!!  The line up was consistently long!

With many thanks to Burnco for donating the use of their truck and operator, we held our Duck Derby and again a huge success. Steve MacKinnon and Kathy Gallaway were the two winners of the $1,000 prizes. Congratulations.

Please enjoy the slideshow of all the events.
