Meeting: At our March 19th meeting, we welcomed Don Edy – 2nd Vice District Governor, Tom Christie – RCMP, Brian Grier – CLERC (Canadian Eyeglasses Recycling Centre), and several members of our twin club, Woodcreek Lions Club.

It was a fun and inspiring meeting as we welcomed new members Randy Reynolds (March 5th), Justin Jones and Beverley Michalezki.

We heard presentations about CNIB and their need for Daisy players so those with seeing impairments can hear audio books for entertainment or education, the RCMP Golf Classic which takes place at Turner Valley Golf Course June 28th and Woodcreek Lions Club activities. RCMP Tom Christie addressed the Club and stated “What we do for the community makes a difference”.

It is encouraging to know that the Foothills Lions Club is appreciated for their community involvement and gives us the impetus to become worthy ambassadors of our communities.
